Under the guidance of Guru Dharmendra Jain
The Guru
Guru Dharmendra JainKathak Guru & Tabla Maestro
Guru Dharmendra Jain is a dedicated practitioner and teacher of Kathak — one of India's most luminous classical dance forms. Rooted in the ancient storytelling traditions of the temples of North India, Kathak weaves together rhythmic footwork, expressive gestures, and devotional narrative into a language of movement that transcends the ordinary.
Equally accomplished as a Tabla player, Guruji brings a rare musicianship to his teaching. His students benefit not only from precise technical instruction but from a deep understanding of taal, laya, and the inner pulse that animates both music and dance.
Based in the foothills of the Dhauladhar range in Dharamshala, Guruji has been shaping the cultural landscape of the region for over a decade — nurturing students of all ages and backgrounds with patience, rigour, and joy.
